Another wonderful day and I needed to swap garages with my Series 1 E-type but thought that I would have a little spin in it first!

I went off down the seafront and then looped all the way around Hamden Park area and back into town and then my garage where I swapped the cars. As I am not expecting to use this car much I have put the hood up and wrapped the car in blankets until it either sells, or I am tempted to take it our for another spin.

I had arranged for a potential buyer to come and have a look at my car. His name is Colin and and came down from Houghton, near Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire with his wife Christine. They stayed in a hotel just up the road to give themselves plenty of time to see the car and decide if they wished to buy it.

It was a glorious day so I took Colin for a run up over Beachy Head and he absolutely loved the car. Unfortunately the sale relies on the sale of a house that he owns, and this could take many months. In the end we agreed that I would take a small deposit and give me 11 months to complete the deal. Until such time, I will continue to look after the car.

The agrement is that I can continue to use the car but it must be in the same condition as it is today when he finally collects it.

We decided to go to Sheffield Park for a walk, and given that the day was so nice, a trip in the E-type was definitely sensible!

The car hasn't been driven for months, but it started in seconds, and ran well. Georgie and I thoroughly enjoyed the spin in the car and got the usual waves from admires that we have come to expect! Whilst the journey was uneventful, it was lovely to go out in this magnificent car.
