HAVE YOU CLEANED YOUR TONGUE TODAY?
This may seem an odd question, but it is one that my dentist posed to me a few weeks ago and I told him that I have never been asked it before in all the years that I have spent in 'the chair'. After he explained the reason we shook on a 'gentleman's bet' with me saying that I didn't think that the majority of people would know why they should be cleaning their tongue, and he saying that he thought most people would know.
So now I need your help! Who is right and who is wrong? Do you know the answer, or will you confess to not knowing? Please answer this question so that the truth can be revealed.
WHY SHOULD YOU CLEAN YOUR TONGUE?
1) To help prevent bad breath.
2) To improve blood flow in the tongue so as to keep it healthy.
3) To reduce the risk of tongue cancer.
4) To improve your taste.
5) So that the tongue can effectively remove plaque from your palate.
